Parts For Sale First Gen parts

I found a temp storage for this stuff. Please let me know if you are near Dayton or can meet near Dayton and want it. I'd prefer to convey all of it at once, and price has been reduced to whatever anyone feels like throwing my way. :-)

'10 4.0 Timing Chain Tensioner Install

Update. I cannot in good faith suggest that anyone install manual tensioners from a RAZR or whatever in your sport trac. Hahaha. I am now driving a 2013 Ridgeline :-( The 2300 RPM noise was the main chain (recently replaced tensioner blew up) and in the photo, you can see that basically...

    2004 ST project - 181k “K” engine rehab

The front tensioner can leak and it finds its way through the valley down the back of the block over the tranny bell housing and could mimic a rear main seal. I suppose the rear tensioner could also leak and run down the block and drip near the rear main seal. Also, as Todd Z noted, the PCV...

    Roof Basket/Roof Rack/ Suggestion for 05

I use the Surco Safari 45x50 with the Surco clamps. Holds a spare stock wheel/tire easily, and holds an old Sears X-cargo perfectly. (Not at the same time :-) ) It is tough as nails and looks good. I stupidly took out my garage door with a wheel up top, and the rack did not slide, bend, or...

'10 4.0 Timing Chain Tensioner Install

I will keep the thread posted on my success. 100% rattle at start is gone, but have a little rattle at 2400rpms like i had with the main chain a while back. I had been making my own "manual" tensioners by drilling out a rear tensioner and tapping it out with an adjuster bolt... keeping the...

'10 4.0 Timing Chain Tensioner Install

I successfully installed these manual tensioners from a Polaris Razr. After fixing a massive leak from the new front tensioner (tightened), truck sounds great. I will post updates - especially if it kills tge truck! :-) 2PCS Tensioner Cam Chain Repair Stainless Steel Kit For Polaris RZR 1000...

    Rust in front passenger fender

Apart from the fact that my black paint is cracked nearly everywhere except the composite bed, there is no rust except at the front of the front passenger fender. I was able to find a 100 dollar primed replacement on eBay easy enough, but wondered if anyone else has that weird spot there.

    Hi!

The dancing debris sounds were actually the rear / passenger timing chain intermittently smacking the block / head internally - due to a cheap aftermarket tensioner - threw in a new cheap aftermarket tensioner and truck runs great with no bad noises except front tensioner on cold starts...

    Hi!

Got it wrapped up! Sounds great. Next on the list is to replace the exhaust - there is debris trapped between the cats, dancing around. :-)

    Hi!

Found the broken nub, replaced the primary chain guide, tensioner, and dammit, the balance shaft tensioner is cracked - so have a replacement due tomorrow and will button it up.

    Hi!

Ended up reinstalling the original oil pump as the new one was cheap and ill-fitting. Found the cause of the low oil pressure looking up from below at the primary chain, though! The primary timing chain guide bolts backed themselves out letting the nub out of the oiling hole! The guide was a...
