just in local U-Haul today to rent a 15 foot van. I casually asked about them renting trailers to explorer drivers. the answer was any explorer 2012 and newer was ok, anything older they will not rent trailers to.
I believe the computer says miles to empty relating to gage. so when it says 50 miles to empty, that's when the gage should read empty. there is always a couple or so gallons after that.
battery junction box--fuse 1 (60 amp)
central junction box--fuses 25 (7.5 amp)
26 (10 amp)
1- (7.5 amp)
if those are all ok, check for power at the light socket,
it's possible a door ajar switch has stuck...
switch it to 4x4 high and then reach under with a small hammer and lightly tap the 4x4 shift motor on the back of the transfer case, if it shifts into 4x4 after that, you need a shift motor. get a friend to watch the 4x4 indicator.
you replace just the idler pulley. right hand threads on pulley bolt. here's the tools you'll need: 7mm socket for the throttle cover
8mm socket for air intake tube at throttle body
3/8"drive ratchet for belt tensioner
15mm or 16mm socket for idler pulley bolt...
