    Sport Trac Check Engine Light

    I know this will sound crazy, but my 2007 was doing exactly the same thing and couldn't find cause. Finally an old mechanic walked by one day and said its the battery! It's going bad. I replaced the battery that day and haven't had a problem since. Go figure.
