How to Stop Sudden Unintended Acceleration

All this talk of stuck accelerators reminds me of an incident I recounted in a thread several years ago. I've been reluctant to use my Cruise Control ever since.

    ATTENTION: All Sporttrac members

Pretty obvious what happened. He damaged your lift kit trying to modify it. Apparently, he isn't man enough to admit it and reimburse you for the cost of the kit. Now he's blaming his girlfriend? Give me a break! "Full time school" is a bullshit excuse. I've attended full time school for...

    don't beleive alchohol wasn't involved

What I'm reading is, he apparently had a "domestic issue" with his wife prior to leaving. She heard the crash and called 911.

    For the aviators out there

Shaun, That looks like a Lancaster in a fly-over at approx. 2:30 into the video, isn't it? You're right about the usual variety of most air shows - that's what's so awesome about this video! I assume this is a single air show, and not a composite of several. I've never seen so many...

    For the aviators out there

Awesome video, Eddie! Man, I would've loved to have been there in person. Thanks for sharing.

    What a charmed life...

You're preaching to the choir on this point, Rich. I completely agree with you. "Too big to fail" is not my term. As you know, it was the reason given for the necessity of the bailouts. That being said, I do sympathize with the millions of people who would have lost their jobs (beyond the...

    What a charmed life...

Rich, In an ideal world, those freedoms might exist, but they haven't just recently disappeared. I, too, would enjoy those freedoms, but that isn't reality. 1. The TARP, which began under Bush, became necessary because years of deregulation created the "businesses too big to fail"...

. . . so, what freedoms have we lost so far?

Fall Classes Open Enrollment for Women

Those are hilarious, Gavin! Although, I'd never admit that to my wife. ;)

Front Rotors 2002 Sport Trac Remove

It's been quite a while since I replaced mine, but I seem to remember having to use a breaker bar to loosen something in there. Maybe that was it. Use the correct size socket and a lot of elbow grease (a 6 point socket is less likely to round off the bolt heads than a 12 point).

    Nelson....be safe out there....

This is the typical reaction from the Wing Nuts, Tea Baggers, and Birthers to anything Obama does. You people are so predictable in your criticism of the President you've lost credibility. Did you even read the article you posted? This decision was based on the unanimous recommendations...

    USAF Thunderbirds in Honolulu 9/19-20/09

I have to agree with you, Bud and TT. There may be some Air Force jet jockeys as good as the Naval aviators, but until they demonstrate they can do what those Navy boys do, on a continuous basis, we'll never know!

    Gauge Lighting

I haven't taken my dash apart - yet- so I can't say whether it's a difficult job. I believe there are several small bulbs attached to a printed circuit board behind the dash. I've got a burned-out bulb behind the speedo, so I'll be performing this repair soon myself.

WWI & WWII Airplane Pics from Airshow

Awesome pictures, Shaun! Those are some amazing restorations. Thanks for sharing.

    Nelson, you out there?

Hey, I've been to Grafenwoehr! Never made it into town, though. The Army has (used to have?) a Major Training Area in the vicinity. Their local brewery makes an awsome beer. Great pics, Nelson.
