    xm satellite radio

a small piece of advice. if you are using the XM micro antenna, I would sirriusly (ha!) think about using some silicone to seal the bottom and where the wire goes into the antenna. I have had some recent trouble with mine due to heavy rain, and have found others on the web with the same...

    Pictures from Rolled Trac

too bad they wont let you grab the head rests out of there, it would be cool to have a set to try a screen install for a DVD player and be able to screw one up,

    Tonneau Project

that is a good setup, I may have to try to hard wire it. I have beed thinking about using a door pin switch to turn the light on, but those OEM covers are leakers (water) and the switch in the outlet area is pretty convenient. Once the fresh foot of snow melts around these parts, I will start...

    Tonneau Project

Phil, that is almost exaclty what I am going to do, except the wires will be internal. I would but it on the back wall of the bed - that is the easiest way to do it - but I really only use the back half at night and I have a shelf that I built in that goes over the wheel wells, so the light...

    Tonneau Project

I am running the wires like this: Plug in the 12v outlet, wires will go into the cover just behind the hinge on the back half, then they will run to the back of the cover ( by the tail gate), I will wire the switch in at that point. then I will run the wire about a foot or two away and...

    Tonneau Project

So I am putting together my tonneau light project and wondered if anyone knew what is inside of the OEM cover. I am thinking of running my wires inside the cover using the raised portions of the underside of the cover ( does that make sense?) is there any sort of aluminum or metal cross...

    New Project comming soon

Once the weather here in MN starts to cooperate, this is my next project. [Broken External Image]: I am going to take a lighter plug, and wire as the picture shows so that I can have a bed light that is wired (not battery) that can disconnect easily when I have to remove the cover on the...

    Pics I took today

it looks like almost 2 yards to me. the beds are "about" 4ft x 4ft x 2ft deep , roughly 32 cubic feet, and a yard is about 27 cubic feet, so that heaping amount would need to be 5 cubic feet short of a yard. so it is probably a little less than 2 yards, but if you have ever picked up bulk...

    Light Locks??

i would agree with chrisV, Loctite, or super glue ( gel type) all you should need to get them off then is a plumbing torch to break the glue. you could even put two nuts on each post with a lock washer in between just o make it more difficult.

    Help! -XM power wiring

I do hav ethe auto on feature, but the power point is always hot, so I dont see how it could know to turn on/off. I would rather not have to go all the way back to the fuse box, but I am sure that one of the leads in that harness are switched, so I would rather do the connection there...
