Liftmaster 8500 garage door openers - any experience?

I have the same door openers - one on a 20' door and one on a 10' door. Have had them on for about 2 years now and have not had a problem at all. Much quieter than standard chain drive or belt drive, plus do not have the center mass taking up ceiling space in the garage. I think you will...

PML Trans Pan for Gen 2 v8

Nice! I have one on my 302 in my Explorer - have thought about putting one on the ST also. I wonder if they need another 'test subject'... :)

Trailer break control-Where are the wires??

That is it. Wiring is where it shows in that document. I couldn't get a decent picture from the phone for under the dash. Now that I see that, I believe there was a pigtail that I had to wire to the controller, but I think my controller came with it, so that is why I didn't have to...

Trailer break control-Where are the wires??

I will see if I can get a pic in a little while of the underside of my dash and where it plugs in. I don't remember any special plugs - seems like the controller plug went right into the factory pigtail. 2 screws later, and I had it mounted.

Trailer break control-Where are the wires??

On my 07, the wiring plug was under the dash on the right of the steering column (from the driver's seat perspective). Seems like it was plugged into a dummy end point and I had to unplug it there, then was able to plug in my controller. Was very easy.

    Rancho Quick Lift Install

Thanks. Have you played with the adjustments yet? Sounds like the standard settings will work fine, but just curious if you dialed on them yet and had any better results. David

    Rancho Quick Lift Install

blksn8k, Can you tell me the part numbers you used? Was it the RS999924, RS999927, RS999939, and RS999942? I am getting ready to put a new set of tires, brakes, etc., on mine. Wouldn't mind doing like you and doing everything at the same time. Thanks, David

    Stereo Conversion

I've got the same basic setup as Stad except use Alpine's double din instead. I use Alpine amps, so the connections were easier in my case, but would use Pioneer also if the set up was different and price came into play... David

    CT tragedy

So my thoughts to bring the topic back in - if we know that in reality we cannot stop the amount of fire brought, how do we stop the act? You have to look at it from a proactive stance and a reactive stance. Proactive First, you have to take immediate actions on helping identify and...

freeport - My apologies if I aided in your thread veering off-topic - I know the feeling in that happening to mine on forums, so I will try to curtail and keep comments within the realm of the thread. My thoughts on how to protect schools - more so our children - seem to always pull me back to...

    Finally snow on it's way!

Have had 3" on the ground here for a week now. Looking like we will have more this week - hope it does. I hate it when there is just a dusting. Would rather have a lot and enough to use the snowblower, or nothing and can use the broom...
