I did this dozens if not hundreds of times over on the GM side. Generally all the SIR clocksprings were interchangeable, mostly being in the number of leads that they had (between 4 and 8) for things like wheel cruise, radio controls, etc.
The only thing I ran into was using car wheels on trucks...
Ok, that's actually valuable intel.
If they share a common ground thru the PCM, I'd check that pin on the PCM, and then the connection where the PCM goes to ground (frame, body, engine, whatever).
I found two locally and both of the steering wheels were trashed.
Even a national search on car-part.com only yielded 4, all north of $75 and in poor condition.
Ok, I ran a GM fuel injection shop back in the early 2000s but many of the principles are the same.
I'd start with what Dillardoo said, but this reeks of bad PCM and/or a intermittent ground somewhere. Not sure if you're in Palmetto GA or Palmetto FL, but if you're in FL near salt water...
Is there ANY magic way to get the rear window to roll to a position other than VENT, Fully DOWN or Fully UP?
I'd like to have it about 1/2 way for my dogs, but I can't seem to figure out a 'mid' setting. Am I missing something?
ETA: Nevermind, the owners manual makes it clear that its ONLY those...
Yesterday I ended up cutting the leather off of my wrapped 2001 wheel because the thin foam under the leather between it and the base vinyl wheel had deteriorated under the New Mexico sun to the point that I had oil/tar oozing out of the stitching and getting over my hands while driving.
I used...
I would assume that's what it looks like. If the 2001s don't have the vacuum reservoir or the check valve, that MIGHT explain why I can't find mine. LOL 🤣
Hey guys, I have the typical problem when the AC is in MAX mode (doesn't happen in 'normal' AC mode) under acceleration/load, it will switch to the defrost. Letting off the gas or switching to 'normal' mode pushes the air out the vents again.
I've searched high and low and can't find this...
My oil dipstick is on the drivers side, so more likely a Job2.
Engine is new(ish) so I'm not worried about the tensioners (yet), but I intend to keep a close eye on them and replace them as soon as I notice anything amiss. The upgraded metal thermostat housing is on my short list of things to do...
I'm not gonna mod it, I'm not gonna mod it, I'm not gonna mod it.
Well, maybe just one little mod, cause you always need more USB ports. I mean, I can stop whenever I want, right?🙄
