2004 XLT 4X2 -- Tranny flair at 35K miles. Couldn't get dealer to fix (couldn't duplicate), so I traded it.

2004 XLT Premium 4X4 -- leaking headlamp, chattering wiper blades, inoperative passenger seat heater, squeaking swaybar end link, camber out of factory specs (camber kit required to fix) and leaking pinion gasket on front differential -- all fixed under warranty. Uncontrollable bouncing in rear end and cupped tires (bad shocks/misalignment) -- I had to pay to fix this.

2003 XLT premium 2wd, 38,000 miles:

replaced broken sun-visor clip

replaced right marker lamp assembly - condensation

replaced o-ring on left evaporator canister - CEL 09

purged air in p/s pump for low speed steering shudder

recent problem - condensation in both headlamp assemblies

2002 Job 2.

DPFE Sensor.

Rear window regulator

Blower fan bearing went bad

Typical bezel peeling

idle pully replaced

Pioneer 6 Disk changer went bad

All within warranty and dealer fixed first time.

68,000 miles and takes the abuse I subject it to.

Things I replaced on my own. Upper and lower radiator hoses, thermostat, plugs, wires, drive belt, tires, shocks, rear diff cover, front brake pads and still have the original rotors, removed drum brakes and replaced with disks.

The first set of pads wore out shortly after my mad dash with scrap steel hauling a trailer about 8,000 LBS without a brake controller. A total of about 31,000 LBS of steel was hauled during that week and a half. Since then, I have installed a brake controller.

Besides that, she keeps on running. No complaints at all.

2001 Just bought it 1 1/2 yr ago with about 40,000 miles on it and haven't had any trouble. When I bought it the salesman said they did $700 worth of work to it to get it ready to sell(ya right) forgot to ask what they did. I guess I was so excited that it slipped my mind.

built in Jan of '03 - 2WD

- replaced badly cupping goodyears

- replaced fruit rollup stock shocks

- replaced peeling radio bezel (warrantied)

- fixed windshields weather stripping (pealing up from FL sun - warrantied)

- replaced rusted bolts in the bed (warrantied)

I've spent 10 times more money modding my ST than fixing it....works out good in my book. When that changes, it's time to get rid of the Trac.

2001 w/ Premium Sport Pkg

- DPFE Sensor (replaced under warranty)

- Transmission (replaced twice under warranty)

- Ball joints (replaced under warranty)

2004 Adrenalin

- Left front tire cupped at 2000 miles (replaced & alignment under warranty)

05, 11,000 miles: Only have an annoying door rattle...hopefully it will just go away like JohnnyO's did. No other problem but still early.

2003, 46,000 miles, 41 months old.

Had to have fixed under warranty:

Back passenger door handle broke (would not open from the inside)

And a recurring under hood squeak that has been worked on 4 times over the past two years. I think they finally got it this last time. In working on/diagnosing this, they have:

replaced the alternator, the water pump, the belt and pulley 3 times and most recently, the crankshaft dampener pulley. That is it.

04 XLT Premium

- Radio bezel paint peeling (not bad and not fixed yet)

- Alternator whine at startup during extreme cold weather (not reproduced by dealer, not fixed)

- Replaced OEM shocks after 8K miles due to unsafe handling issues (long story, some say I just can't drive, others agree the ST with stock shocks is unsafe above 30mph all but perfect, straight roads).
