Was just curious of your location, your occupation, and if the virus has affected your life.

Here in S.E. Kansas, it has not affected me yet, and there are no known infected people that I am aware of.

I am a service writer for FORD dealership, and my wife cleans houses/offices.
 
Pasadena, TX , next to Houston. None in my city yet. No one I know or related to either.
We are doing voluntary qaurantine. I'm a bachelor, eat out a lot. Will be going out soon for take out or grocery shopping.
About to run out of comfort food, along with what has been in the pantry for along time.
 
I'm retired, so the stay at home option is easy for me and mine. Local grocery store are out of the usual panic buy items, but we have enough to get by for a while. The biggest affect has been that my daughter has been laid off work (but got a great severance package). Guess my STA will get a lot of garage time in the next few weeks!

NY, Sucks Now the bottom of the totem pole people are the essential workers. I'm in engineering / Construction for municipal water and sewer so we are essential. Is what it is.... Most of us are working form home but people like me must go in the filed to job sites... Practicing Social distancing and hand washing and cleaning regularly..... Its only going to get worse before it gets better...
 
Here in Fresno CA. We have just a few cases in the town 6 or so. I’m home and going stircrazy.
The city is supposed to be shut down and a lot have but I still see car lots open.
Stay healthy everyone.
 
We are on the Big Island of Hawai'i. 6cases on island so far. We are also retired so not so hard staying home. Polishing the truck, treating the leather. 'wish I could get under to look for noises. Church is now on the net, (a bit hard to pay attention). We are getting by, not many fights.

More people here laid off, Stores and restaurants closing, Pay cut in half........... Its getting bad, they will ruin the economy.... 401K down over 50% !!! Gonna take years to recover.
 
I'm in NE Ga and my county is one of the few with 0 confirmed cases. Retired, staying at home unless its a grocery run....I like to eat. I keep nitrile gloves in the ST when I refuel and toss them at the pumps. Common sense, folks!
 
I’m in Augusta, GA. Military, so I am essential. A few cases. Mostly just people loosing their minds and panic buying some of the dumbest stuff. Who buys a stores supply of Twinkie's? Overall not to bad. I keep backup storage of basic items anyway.

I was in Augusta a week or so ago, Dr.s appointment. I stopped at a convenience store for some refreshments, and there was a sign on the door that said "IF YOU TOUCH IT, YOU BOUGHT IT!"
It was time for me to head back north to Elbert County.

In the suburbs just south of Nashville here. Lots of changes and some challenges, but it’s working out Ok. Mostly just inconveniences so far. Some good things, like having regular family dinners for the first time in years.

I did notice more traffic on this site in the last week or so. I’d guess there are a lot of folks at home working on vehicles.

yes Thelgord I also say thank you for your service We are retired W and I . So far grocery shopping has been different . They have a curb service we tried and it worked ok . Other wise staying home isn't much different than before LOL. I tinker in my garage to keep busy . Then we each have a puter we spend time on .. We also like to go camping but they just closed all the state parks here and we are not equipped with a camper where we can do boondock camping . So it is what it is and we have to do what they say too . Hope all of you heed the precautions and stay well .
 
I'm a funeral director who runs a direct cremation office. Where I am there have been relatively few Covid deaths, I have not had any where I work. That said, for the last three weeks our NJ office has been forwarding their phones to us because they are too busy to answer the phone. We sort of triage the calls and forward messages to the appropriate person. Our phone rings all day. ALL DAY. And the Philly area is busy so I've been doing some paperwork remotely for them. But at least I am still working. If I was in my previous career I would be screwed. My wife is an accountant for a medium-sized company and has been working from home the past four weeks and just running to the office once or twice a week to get some papers signed. So we are fortunate. My brother-in-law's brother died from it in Florida a few weeks ago. He wasn't real old, 67, but like many he had other health problems.

My hair has gotten way too long. I'm working on a mullet. The wife and I like to go out to eat and can't do that. Sucks.

Johnny, that’s ironic...my wife is a funeral director in a direct cremation office here. They have a partner facility that handles the cremations, so thankfully she isn’t exposed that way. They’ve had a few cases of COVID related deaths, but not a huge number. A lot of their business is sensitive populations in nursing homes and hospice care. The have seen business increase because people can’t have large funerals (or are strongly encouraged not to) at the moment.

My wife and I doing all we can to stay well . If either one of us get it were sure to say good by . I agree about not going to a restaurant that does stink . We each try to stay busy and now with the weather warming up there is things to do outside . We are both retired . I have tried to get her to go back to work but she refuses LOL. Well it is what it is I guess . Our state parks are closed here in Indiana too so yeah its a little different for all of us . make the best of it and stay safe .
