Hello everyone,

I am a long time Ford driver (2 Mustang GTs ('84 & '92), a Fusion '10, and 2 SportTracs ('02 V6 Manual, '10 V6 Auto)). I traded in the '02 SportTrac for the '10 Fusion, then back to the '10 SportTrac. Yea, I'm a bit indecisive at times. :D I just missed (within hours) of getting a '08 Adrenalin with 70K miles before finding the '10 with 97K miles for roughly the same price, both good deals that only an idiot would have passed up. Anywho, I just thought I would say hello and introduce myself.

Welcome, you will like this site.
I also have been a long time Ford person. Built many Fords with the old 302 push rod motors.
The only time in my life a Ford left me stranded, was. I ran out of gas with 1956 Fairlane. Back in the day gas pump nozzle's had a spring on them. I thought I had 1/4 tank. Pulled the tank and found one of those springs on the float for the level sensor...LOL.
The other breakdowns were my fault, from street racing. Breaking parts that could break on any brand. Owned several Harleys since 1973. Ran them hard and never broke them or stranded me. I have been beefing up the valve train in the one I have now. With that done, I have been researching what cams I want.
One of our members just sold an excellent Gen2 STA. I thought hard about it, but chose to upgrade the Harley. My '04 ST xlt is still in perfect condition and I like the size of it. Folks that see it, cant beleive it is 14yrs old.
Other than that my Fords have been maintenance as any car. I have had a couple of performance chrysler products. Ford will always be my go to. Hoping Ford will bring something back Sport Trac size. I dont need a F-150.

Welcome and good luck with it !

Only two cars have let me down, neither were Ford products (Audi Fox - tranny froze, I think, and Honda Prelude, wasn't good about oil changes so I paid for it the hard way).
While I enjoyed the first ST, it came at the expense of getting rid of my favorite car (my '92 GT)...and the only reason I got it was because we were moving to Texas and felt I had to fit in so I needed a truck. Like you didn't want a full size truck, so the '02 ST made sense. Getting the '10 ST actually made sense to do, unlike the '02. Getting in and out of the Fusion was getting difficult due to the "war" wound in my knee (21 years of military service will do that), the other reason was the wifes car ('06 Freestyle) is pushing 250K and I wanted another vehicle to take north with her medical supplies...Fusion was too small for that. Lastly, the Fusion was part of the Takara air-bag issue...not cool. We take very good care of our vehicles so they have always taken care of us.
I heard the 2019 model year is going to be a huge shake-up in Fords inventory...all cars except the Mustang and the Focus Energi will be gone...and the reason I mentioned this at all is because they are bringing back the Ranger (https://www.ford.com/trucks/ranger/2019/). It looks very nice, but it will only come with a 4 cylinder engine w/ EcoBoost.

Seffner FLA......home of Big Daddy Don Garlits for years and years.....welcome!

Welcome back, the 10 is a better truck for maintenance with exhaust manifolds and spark plugs..... They fixed major issues Late 08.....
