2010 ST O2 sensor location

whats people, hope all are well.

2010 Sport Trac Ltd 4.6L 4wd

I am throwing 2 codes: P0054 & P0060
HO2S Heater Resistance Bank 1 Sensor 2 & HO2S Heater Resistance Bank 2 Sensor 2.
Fuse is good. Just going to change both sensors since I have 78K miles and am going on a long drive next week (7 hrs).

Any info on where they are and how hard they are to get to? I assume I have 4 of them and these are both of the down stream sensors.

Both at the same time is a warning bell. I would be looking at the heater circuit for faults even if you do replace the sensors or even unplugging one at a time.

When you say check heater circuit for faults do you mean check the wire harness for damaged wires?

Check to heater wire for voltage, also plug one in at a time and look for voltage drop. I don't know the circuit off-hand but if you get the same fault across two sensors at the same time I suspect they are parallel wired off of the same circuit. A short in one can cause an over current to be read by the ECU.

thanks again for the explanations. The connectors were fine, no corrosion. I just changed both of the downstream 02 sensors and cleared the code. I took the lazy route, that's what happens when you have alot to do and not enough time to do it. I will see if the check engine comes back on after some drive cycles.
