I have an 2008 Sport Trac. I don not have the keypad entry on the door pillar. Question is, is the wiring in place for it? Could I get a keypad and plug it in. Would it work?

No, they used to sell ( and may still) a stick on one that works like a wireless key pad. You need a module for that to work like oem and I don't think its installed from the factory. Sorry
