Hey anyone, i have a 2003

ST. i?m looking to replace my stock pioneer radio. I?m looking for a double din stereo with GPS that will fit my stock opening without having to use a cheap looking plastic filler piece to fill any gaps. Does such a radio exist? would love to have a large screen, as one gets older the eyes start to go.

Lots of people have changed their radios and posted pics, hopefully they will post them shortly. You can look on ebay for a Ford Ranger radio trim piece and use that to trim down and see if you like your handy work, if it doesnt work out, you could ask someone else to cut it up for you, and you still have your original handy if you need it. :driving:

Hi Bruce, I am doing this exact same thing.... I bought a unit by a company called ATOYO, I picked the A6 Pro. With a small trim to the frame, it fits really nicely, no extra frame trim kit required. I still have a few miswired things to redo to get it actually working properly. I see your post was a while ago and you probably got something done. But if not let me know and I will take a few progress install pics.
Cheers, Mattee

Hi Mattee I’m interested in doing this as well. But I want it all gps, back up camera and steering wheel controls. Did you see.n Atoyo unit that had steering wheel controls. If I decide on one of these units will you help with the install by answering questions and sending any pics you have. Thanks Mike.

Let's work on it together to see if we can get things working. I installed the stereo a while ago, works fine. I added the older rear Subwoofer wiring wires from my other sport trac, installed factory subwoofer and plugged it into the Atoto A6 along with installing an aftermarket backup camera. I only have 3 red wires left to hookup under the dash. One is for the reverse gear/light to activate when putting in reverse (Haven't traced down where to tap it into yet). I attached the Rear AMP power wire to "it's" location on the fuse panel, I think it was the open pin #4 on the 2002 year, it's in a different location on a 2005. It's not working yet?
