    Gen 2 Tailgate

I used #30 torx to remove the screws near the top of the tailgate liner, now I just have to figure out how to get the plastic fasteners out; I guess I just pull hard? I think they are what you call xmas tree fasteners, so they should be cheap to replace. LMK if you have any tips for removing...

    Removing Tailgate Plasic liner

2004 XLT Sport Trac, also looking for the best way to remove the plastic tabs. I have to drive down to the junkyards at the MEX border and pull a tailgate apart so I can install my current (dented) tailgate locking mechanism into a "new" used tailgate, so the ignition key will work in the lock.

    Gen 2 Tailgate

OK, good advice, but what is the best way to remove the plastic tabs? I have to drive down to the junkyards at the MEX border and pull a tailgate apart so I can install my current (dented) tailgate locking mechanism so the ignition key will work in the tailgate, too. 2004 XLT Sport Trac

    Fuel pressure sensor

I read EddieS'04 post - decided to go to O'Reilly's since they sell the Standard brand, and not risk a chinese counterfeit - $90 plus tax, easy swap, I did d/c the neg batt terminal cable; otherwise, followed the video above on YouTube (StephenL's post). So far, so good. Check Engine light is...

    Shifting problems

Hi Marie, my '04 trac looks like your '04 trac, but I'm 2wd. Did you buy a replacement Fuel Rail Pressure Sensor, and if so, how did the part work out? I just threw code P0193; Ebay has replacements for $18, looks brand new sealed in the Ford bag, but my San Diego Ford dealer says if I want to...

    Shifting problems

ooh, just noticed this above: "Amazon and ebay have been known to have motorcraft parts, that are frauds. I read an article with pics. Shown the fake packaging vs the real." The seller has a 97%+ rating...

    Shifting problems

Thanks. This is weird, I called Ford here in San Diego, they quoted me a price for the part of $159.45! Ebay has what appears to be new in the original Ford/Motorcraft plastic bag, part # showing on label, for just under $18, free shipping in under a week. He looked at them on the internet, and...

    Shifting problems

Just threw P0193 code at O'Reilly's, report says, "Code P0193 indicates that the Fuel Rail Pressure Sensor had high voltage input for a predetermined period of time." No idea what that means... But most likely solution according to the report and worker was to replace the Fuel Rail Pressure...

    Alignment

I can't find a shop which will do the alignment on my '04 with shims, they all say I need a camber kit. I'm tempted to buy a kit and install it myself and then take it in for an alignment. Does anybody have suggestions on that idea? I'd rather find a shop to align it with shims, but no luck yet.
